WhatJobs MCP Server documentation

The WhatJobs Model Context Protocol (MCP) server lets AI assistants search live WhatJobs job listings in 25 countries: jobs, salaries, companies hiring, job counts, new jobs and jobs that fit a person's skills. Every result links to the full job on WhatJobs, where people apply.

Remote MCP endpoint https://mcp.whatjobs.com/mcp

Connect

ChatGPT

  1. Search for WhatJobs in ChatGPT's apps and connect it.
  2. Ask for jobs naturally, or start a message with @WhatJobs.

Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it WhatJobs and enter https://mcp.whatjobs.com/mcp.
  3. The first time Claude uses a WhatJobs tool, it asks your permission; you can allow it once or always.

Claude Code

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http whatjobs https://mcp.whatjobs.com/mcp

Other MCP clients

Add a remote MCP server with the endpoint URL and the Streamable HTTP transport. The configuration format depends on the client; a typical entry looks like this:

mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "whatjobs": {
      "url": "https://mcp.whatjobs.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Authentication and transport

AuthenticationNone. No account, API key, OAuth or headers.
AccessRead-only. Every tool is annotated readOnlyHint: true, destructiveHint: false. Nothing is ever applied for, posted or changed.
TransportStreamable HTTP, stateless: each request stands alone.
Protocol versions2026-07-28, 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26
ResultsText for the model plus structuredContent; an MCP Apps view (ui://whatjobs/view.html) renders them as job cards and charts in hosts that support it.

Tool reference

7 tools. Inputs are generated from the server's live tool definitions. The assistant fills them in from what the person asks.
